NAIJATREKS YOUNG WRITERS’ CONTEST 2011- Think, Travel and Innovate
Here comes Naijatreks Young Writers’ Contest for Nigerian primary and secondary school students, aimed at arousing their intellectual consciousness towards the tourism potentials in their environment.
The overall mission here is to encourage them to turn these potentials into enterprises, which will be beneficial to them and the society at large.
In order to achieve this goal, we are looking to connect with primary and secondary school children- since they are the future of these tourism potentials- by organizing a travel writing contest for which we are selecting a number of schools in each state to participate.
BENEFICIARY SCHOOLS:
Since the travel writing contest shall feature one State at a time, this year’s contest has been made exclusive to Ondo State primary and Secondary schools. Awards for the winners shall include school bags, adventure novels and a trip to see the wonders of Idanre Hills in Ondo State.
On Tuesday, 13th of December, 2011, Naijatreks’ team members shall visit the various participating schools and conduct the test, after which the winners shall be chosen.
